A Wish For Sunshine

Wow! Wasn't today such a beautiful sunshiny day? Well I hate to complain, but it was one day too late for me! I had three senior sessions scheduled for yesterday, and with our unpredictable climate we live in we had to reschedule all three. I was really anxious to get outside and snap some pictures, so when Brooklynn told me she wanted a new Facebook picture we jumped in the car and drove just a short way down the road. (Safey first! With my driving skills you never can be too careful!) I think Brooklynn thought the idea of going out in the snow and playing would be so much fun, but from start to finish we were outside for about 30 minutes...including the driving time. The two of us together in the 35 degree weather was pretty comical. Above are just two of my favorites.

All Growed Up!

This was a special shoot for me because I took my baby sister's senior portraits! Ahh! Doesn't seem possible that she is ready to graduate. I am so proud of Michah for the young woman she has become. She is smart, sassy, and an overall great person. I can't wait to see what her future has in store for her. (although I really wish she would be our nanny while she is going to school...but she keeps shooting me down)

I am just going to post a few of my favorites because she hasn't seen all of them yet. :) Plus, I took a bunch...like too many to narrow down. :)

Isn't her red hair just to die for?

Kristina's Senior Pics

So I thought I would do better and try to post at least every other day, but that's not going to happen. Between all of Brooklynn's activities and Eric's new business I haven't had much time to do anything. I wanted to go ahead and post some pics of Kristina's pictures because I forgot to when I took them back in, like, October. Shame on me!

Kristina is a great family friend, and I was happy to take some portraits for her. The last few years I have photographed both of her older sisters' senior pictures, and she is the baby. It has been really fun, as they all have different personalities!

It's been a while....

Well, I have been absolutely horrible with keeping up with my blog! In the next few weeks I'll put some of the photos that I've taken in the last few months, and try to update you on my life a little. I need to get my act together! haha!

Today I just want to share a picture that was taken a few years back, but it was actually a Christmas gift this year that I gave my stepdad. Nothing too fancy, but it's the sentimental value with this one. :)

My stepdad, Steven, is super cool. He's a kid at heart, so much in fact that my mom nicknamed him Peter Pan years ago. There's something so magical about him through a child's eye...and although I am not a child anymore I still see it.

For Quenton's third birthday my stepdad dressed up like Batman (bought the suit and made a REAL bat mobile- not lying). The excitement that Quenton felt that day, will always be so special to us. To this day, Quenton still calls him "Papa Batman" and really thinks he's the real deal. So, I made the above picture a poster for Steven, because you can't ever duplicate a moment like this one. :)

Pherigo Family

Miranda contacted me to take family photos for them and I was so excited! Her little Shelby is sooo cute! I loved this session because it was so natural. You can tell she has such loving parents by the photos below! Here is a little something that Miranda sent me on Facebook:

I LOVE THE PICTURES!!!! Oh my gosh they are amazing!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
So glad you liked them as much as I did.
